Connor Zamary, a 7-year old from the U.S. has created an application that he sells for $0.99 in Apple’s App Store. He’s having tremendous success with it, and he’s already planning version 2.0.

Connor’s app, Toaster Pop, is an iPhone and iPod touch application described as “a fun and addictive game of speed and skill.”

“Toaster Pop is fun and easy to play! Swipe toppings onto each slice of toast as you race against the clock. Top as many slices of toast as you can before time runs out! Toaster Pop features six fun levels,” reads the description.

Each level has the player spreading something else onto the toast, such as butter, grape jam, strawberry jam, apricot jam, peanut butter, and a final mix called “the works.”

The app already got its first update this month adding compatibility fixes for iOS 4.0 and higher.

The first grader said he got the idea from talking to his dad about old toasters:

"My dad was telling me about an old fashioned toaster since I never saw one before,” Connor told Cnet. “Then it just came to me to create an app, where toast would pop out of the toaster, land on a plate and you would have to butter it with butter."

According to Connor’s father, Craig Zamary, "He pitched investors, made his own PowerPoint, filled out the paperwork for his LLC all by himself, has done conference calls with the West Coast developers."

Toaster Pop currently has over two dozen five-star reviews on the App Store.

Connor admitted it wasn’t easy for him to launch his own app in the App Store, especially the part about pitching for investors.

"I was nervous," he told the interviewers, according to whom Connor is already looking ahead to version 2.0. His roadmap is currently mapped out on the family’s refrigerator.
