The GT-I9500 and GT-I9505 flavors, plus US-specific variants

, the latest Android-based flagship smartphone from South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung, is expected to arrive on shelves in late April in various markets around the world, and the various models that users will be able to purchase when that happens appear to have emerged online.

Spotted over at the DLNA, the handset received the necessary approvals in seven different flavors, it seems, each packing a series of distinctive features or aimed at a specific wireless carrier out there.

To be more precise, DLNA approved the GT-I9500 and GT-I9505 flavors of the device, which will land on shelves in various markets around the world with either HSPA + or LTE packed inside, along with specific US versions of the smartphone, Blog of Mobile notes.

Thus, we know that AT&T will receive the phone as SGH-I337, that Verizon will launch it as SCH-I545, and that Sprint will make it available as SPH-L720. Furthermore, MetroPCS’ variant will feature model number SCH-R970.

In addition to these six GALAXY S 4 models, a seventh version was spotted, namely the SGH-M919, though specific info on what it would turn out to be has yet to emerge.

One thing that is certain, however, is that the device is expected in the United States at T-Mobile and US Cellular as well.

The phone will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor inside in this country, so as to provide users with access to local LTE networks, it seems.

As mentioned above, GALAXY S 4 is expected to be released at the end of the next month, with a 5-inch full HD screen on the front, 2GB of RAM inside, and a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back.

It also sports a front camera for video calling, 16GB / 32GB / 64GB of internal memory, microSD memory card slot, the usual set of connectivity options and sensors, and Google’s Android 4.2 Jelly Bean loaded on top. More on its specs on this page.
