UK wireless carrier O2 is getting ready for the launch of Nokia’s Lumia 1020 smartphone on its network, and should make it available for purchase on October 1 with 64GB of internal memory, it seems.

The wireless carrier has already announced plans to bring the handset to its network, but hasn’t offered specific details on availability and pricing as of now.

However, it appears that a carrier’s representative has confirmed the aforementioned October 1 release date, as well as the fact that the mobile phone will feature 64GB of internal memory, WMPoweruser notes.

The Nokia Lumia 1020 was made official with a 4.5-inch touchscreen display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor packed inside, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB / 64GB of internal memory.

Furthermore, the device sports a 41-megapixel photo snapper on the back, a front camera for video calling, and the usual set of connectivity options.
