The hacker breached the website's databases just for fun

Over 6,000 members of the CEO Strategist website remain exposed to spam campaigns and other malicious operations after a hacker known as Herxode managed to breach their security.

User ID numbers, email addresses and passwords (fortunately not in clear text) were posted by the hacker in a Pastebin file.

CEO Strategist is a company that offers counseling to businesses to help them obtain “maximum results in the shortest time possible.”

The hacker chose not to deface the company’s website and by the likes of it, this was only done as a display of power.

The company has been notified on the incident and they are currently investigating the matter.

In the meantime, CEO Strategist customers are advised to change their passwords, especially if they were used to protect other accounts as well. Also, since the email addresses may have fallen into the hands of spammers, they are recommended to be on the lookout for any suspicious email that may land in their inboxes.
