Samsung was supposed to only launch its 55-inch OLED TV at some point next month (July 2013) and, for most of the world, this may still hold true.
In South Korea, however, things may move along a bit faster, assuming that what Yonhap News Agency has recently revealed turns out to be true.
And I suppose it would make sense for things to happen earlier there. The country is, after all, Samsung's home market.
Basically, the company might launch the 55-inch OLED TV there next week, instead of next month.
Sure, it's only a week's head start, but that can still qualify as a significant amount of time.
The 55-inch OLED TV will bear a price of 10 million won. According to exchange rates, that's about the same as $8,840 / €6,668.
