With the grand opening coming up on November 22, The Powder Bar decided to create an irresistible treat that will cost no less than $500 (€369). The glamorous dessert called “Velvet Goldmine” combines premium ingredients with a precious souvenir.

The milkshake has a special recipe made by award-winning mixologist Adrianne Biggs who combined the world's premium spirits with the finest Belgian chocolate and edible gold in a perfectly designed shake topped with a Swarovski Nirvana Montana blue crystal ring.

The fancy establishment offering the pricey drink is a new nightclub called “The Powder Room,” set to open in LA this weekend. The Powder Room is supposed to be one of the most expensive, yet glamorous clubs in LA, inspired from the old Hollywood studios with marble bars and themed furniture.

Regarding the expensive signature milkshake, “we wanted to offer an experience where guests could take something special home with them, and it's perfect for a bachelorette party or a special occasion,” the owner said in an interview with ABC News.

Besides the $500 milkshake, the menu also holds some less pricier drinks like the “Steel Magnolia” which also features an array of rare and fancy ingredients.

The Powder Club is not the first place to serve some rare and glamorous overpriced desserts. Serendipity 3 in New York has an item that easily doubles the price of the “Velvet Goldmine,” as it is presented in a crystal goblet and is made from gold foil and rare truffles.

Connecticut’s Knipschildt Chocolatier’s “Frozen Haute Chocolate” is one of the world's most expensive desserts its price being $25,000 (€18,479).

America is not the only place where you can find crazy expensive desserts. Japan currently holds the record for the world's most expensive dessert with the $5 (€3,7) million Valentine Diamond Chocolate Cake. The cake has an astonishing cluster of 2,000 diamonds and it's shaped like the African subcontinent.
