Rapper 50 Cent is striving to prove he’s more than a successful recording artist and actor: he’s also a respectable author, one that will help teens deal with bullying next. Fiddy has announced his next project called “Playground,” inspired from his own experience as a bully.

After the wave of teen suicides, lots of celebrities have jumped on the bullying bandwagon, with most of them speaking against it and urging those kids that are bullied to celebrate their uniqueness as best as they can.

Fiddy will try and do things differently from everybody else, MTV News reports, citing the press release from his publisher: he’s written a book in which he tells the story of a boy who becomes a bully – and then makes the trip back to accept and learn from his mistakes.

“This time he’s aiming at a teen audience with a semi-autobiographical novel about bullying. According to a statement from the book's publisher, the first-person novel is slated for release in January 2012 and will tell the story of a 13-year-old schoolyard bully ‘who finds redemption as he faces what he’s done’,” MTV informs.

In a statement about the upcoming book, the rapper says the reason he sat down to write it was because he now has to think of his teenage son and the kind of world he’s growing up in.

Thus, he used his past experiences and then simply let go and went with the flow, and “Playground” came to be.

“I had a strong desire to write ‘Playground’ because I wanted to explore how a kid becomes a bully. I drew on events from my own childhood and adolescence, but was excited to see the story take on its own life,” the star explains.

“This book would have been very helpful for me growing up and now that I have a teenage son, it is my goal that this will have a positive influence on all teenagers,” 50 adds.
