After Justin Timberlake who turned to YouTube to find a new singer, another famous star visits the online video sharing platform. This time it's 50 Cent's turn who launched a contest on YouTube encouraging emcees to upload videos and clips with them in action in order to win some exciting prizes. The winner of the competition will win a contract with G-Unit/Interscop Records to record a single and a $10.000 prize offered by Guitar Center. The rules are simple: you should upload an up to 5 minutes clip with your rhymes and beats and pray to be the lucky one.

Obviously, you have to be a US resident and have at least 18 years old. "If your video was awesome, but didn't make the cut, you may very well see it featured in the Music category or other premier spots on our site. Contests of this nature are a great way for your work to be seen by many people and get the exposure it deserves," YouTube mentioned in the description of the contest.

"Anything you submit to YouTube OnTheRise contest must be 100% your own original content. That means all beats, samples from any other tracks, lyrics, and everything else, must have been created solely by you. Any copyrighted or "borrowed" content found in a submitted video will call for immediate disqualification of the entry. We want you to be as creative, resourceful and original as possible."

Since the online video sharing platform was acquired by the giant Google, YouTube was continuously used with other purposes than uploading videos and sharing them with other Internet users. Several celebrities were visiting YouTube in order to find new singers and potential stars because the Google video service is a growing community of users who are continuously uploading homemade clips created by them.
