A couple bought a chair at a garage sale for $5 (€3.7) and it might win them over $100K (€77 K). Carie Mueller and husband James Hull own an antiques store called Shabby Chic in Littleton, Colorado.

They often browse through items at garage sales looking for bargains, and they bought this particular chair because they thought it looked interesting.

According to KDVR, they first used it to play video games, then stored it in a garage for a year.

Once they looked at the tag on the chair, they noticed that it was an original Herman Miller, manufactured in Michigan in 1946.

The model is the Plywood Chair, and it is also featured in an exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art. The chair was designed by Charles and Rae Eams.

Judging by the selling price of other Miller chairs, the couple now stand to bank between $14,000 (€10,600) and $140,000 (€106,000).
