50-inch plasma TV?dreamy

A survey conveyed online by a firm selling televisions was released on Friday and the results are rather surprising. Almost half of the UK men would gladly give up 6 months worth of sex for the 50-inch plasma TV. Hoping that it is just a sample of typical British conservationism when talking about private life and more important, sex, the one thought that comes to mind is that this is an age of comfort and materialism.

Men have been known to be lazier in general, and to have as a favorite choice for after hours either a quick pub raid and then sleep at home, or just kicking back and relaxing with a beer in front of the TV. That's already a stereotype, first implemented into the worldwide train of thought by the US sitcom "Married With Children." The 2000 Britons surveyed, however, showed there's some substance to that idea.

The men were faster to give up sex than women, and in greater numbers: almost half, compared to one third of the people surveyed choosing the latest 'must have' TV, Reuters reports. Electrical retailer Comet conducted the survey and after polling in all the answers, said that "It seems that size really does matter more for men than women."

Among other answers that respondents had to choose from, the option to give up smoking was favored by a quarter, both men and women (I'm guessing men have the heavier pull in this), while roughly the same proportion would be willing to give up chocolate (this has got to be where women were noisier).

What has the world come to, if men have gotten to pass on sex, an area supposedly dominated by women and their proverbial headaches? Come to think of it, 6 months is the military service, for those who want to join. Were they thinking about this in particular?
