Mortal Kombat X developer NetherRealm Studios has just presented the full 47-minute recording of its latest video presentation for the fighting game, allowing fans to learn everything they want about the title's latest confirmed character – Johnny Cage.

Mortal Kombat X launches in April and the hype surrounding the upcoming fighting game from NetherRealm and Warner Bros. is already reaching critical mass, as the studio keeps showcasing new videos, screenshots, and details about the experience.

After showcasing the Cage family in Mortal Kombat X, as well as the fact that horror movie legend Jason Vorhees is presented as a guest character in the Kombat Pack DLC, NetherRealm now presents the full 47-minute video recording of its latest live stream that took place last week.

Learn much more about Johnny Cage and the game overall

In the special footage that you can admire below, the main focus point is Johnny Cage, as the classic Mortal Kombat character is making a stellar comeback in the upcoming experience, and he's older, wiser, and even more ready to punish foes in a brutal way.

Just like all Mortal Kombat X characters, Johnny Cage has three variations from which players can choose, starting with the A-List one, which still has the trademark flip kick but emphasizes tricks and fakeout maneuvers to confuse your foe. Moves can also be charged, so that you can juggle opponents and inflict massive damage.

The second variation is called Fisticuffs and favors aggressive players that want to constantly hammer down their opponents. Johnny's brass knuckles can be activated for a limited time to deal more chip damage even through a block, and when his health drops, his damage output increases even more.

Last but not least, there's Stunt Double, which disables the flip kick but adds a virtual double of Johnny that deals real damage to your opponents. You can follow up the special attacks of the clone to keep the damage output as high as possible. This variation also makes him throw his fireballs in a straight line, so you don't have to aim or approximate distances.
