14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft is off to a very generous start of 2011 announcing a new promotion designed to allow participants to win loads of cash, as the company put it.
The Microsoft Big Cash Promotion went live today, January 3rd, 2011, and will end on March 31st, 2011, with the software giant offering in excess of $400,000 worth of prizes.
According to the software giant, the promotion is only opened to Microsoft resellers in the United States that will be purchasing qualifying Windows 7, Office and Windows Server products. Each will be eligible to win cash prizes of up to $5,000.
At the same time, the Redmond company is offering resellers the chance to enter the Microsoft Big Cash Promotion without making a purchase. Of course, the official rules of the initiative are an excellent place to start in order to get an idea of what the promotion is all about.
“Now through March 31, 2011, your weekly Microsoft sales activity will qualify you for a number of sweepstakes drawings in the Big Cash Promotion.
The concept is simple. The rewards are BIG. The more you sell, the better your odds. Continue to sell Microsoft products for the chance to win thousands of dollars in cash prizes!” Microsoft stated.
Microsoft explained that winners will receive Visa Gift Cards if they win a giftcard prize or checks for Windows Monthly Grand Prizes. The total Approximate Retail Value of all prizes combined is no less than $423,000.
Prizes will be offered for Windows Weekly Sweepstakes, Windows Monthly Grand Prize Sweepstakes, Microsoft Office Weekly Sweepstakes, Windows Server Weekly Sweepstakes and Windows Server Monthly Sweepstakes.
Microsoft also explained how retailers can enter the Big Cash Promotion without a purchase.
“To enter without purchase, an authorized representative of the Eligible Reseller must hand print the following information on a 3" x 5" card: the name and address of the Eligible Reseller; the name of the Eligible Reseller’s Distributor; the authorized representative’s name and daytime phone number; and the name of the Sweepstakes (using the names above) (a “Mail-in Entry”).
“The Mail-in Entry should be mailed to: Microsoft Big Cash Sweepstakes c/o BI, 7630 Bush Lake Road, CG-Bldg 4, Minneapolis, MN 55439,” the company said.
