It is true that Advanced Micro Devices released the FX-9370 and FX-9590 months ago, but contrary to what people may believe, they haven't actually been selling through retail. Now they are, though, at least the first one.

Before this, the only way to own one of the chips was to buy one of the pre-built gaming systems that had them.

Now, the FX-9370 is finally up for sale, bearing the retail SKU "FD9370FHW8KHK" and a price of $270 / €198 - €270 (excluding taxes).

For those who need to refresh their memory, the CPU is a 32 nm 8-core processor with 220TDP (Piledriver), 16 MB cache (L2+L3) and clock frequency of 4.4 GHz Base, 4.7 GHz Turbo Core.

Soon enough, the 8-core, 4.7/5 GHz FX-9590 will be shipping as PIB as well (processor-in-box). It's still not clear if they come with coolers though.
