The project is asking money for the book that will document it

The Urbee project still has some way to go, but the 3D printed eco car promises to be one of the most interesting developments in the field for a while. The team behind the green car is working on the Urbee 2, the model that will cross the US using very, very little gas.

But while that's underway, the Urbee team also wants to educate and spread the word, get people to realize that change must come and the sooner, the better.

To that end, the team is putting together a book documenting the entire project and the future road trip.

To fund the book though, Jim Kor, the creator of the Urbee, turned to Kickstarter and is asking for the relatively modest sum of CAD$30,000 ($28,600/€21,300).

Backers will get things like the documentary DVD, which is already available, the book, once it's finished, in 2015, t-shirts and so on.
