Apparently, mobile phones that include more than just the usual screen are becoming increasingly popular in the mind of various designers around the world, and a new device with multiple screens has made an appearance into the wild.

Handsets with dual-screens are already available for purchase on the market, including the range of flip phones many are already familiar with, as well as candybar devices, such as Samsung Continuum on Verizon's airwaves.

However, the next step in the mobile industry would come from handsets that feature three or more screens, preferably with touch capabilities.

We already had the chance to have a look at various concept devices that packed three screens, and a new one is now available the 360 Compact Folding mobile phone designed by school student Baek Kil Hyun (via Yanko Design).

The capabilities of this device were meant to expand beyond the usual phone features of any touchscreen handset, thus the three touchscreen displays it would arrive on shelves with.

The screens are easily foldable to turn the device into a smartphone, while offering tablet functionality when opened.

This is not the first time such an idea is presented that's for sure, and it seems that the chances that such a device would indeed become available on shelves in the not too far future are increasing.

In the end, the mobile market today is moving fast towards the fusion of smartphones, with screens that expand to 4.5 or even 5 inches in size, with tablet PCs, which pack phone functionality, while offering an enhanced viewing experience on their larger screens.

Tablets are somehow too large to hold against the ear while making phone calls, while smartphones would certainly gain a lot from having larger screens, and this is where a hinge design, such as 360 Compact Folding mobile phone sports, might prove an ideal solution to put the two together.

However, it might take some time before the concept becomes reality, so don't get your hopes too high when it comes to having one of these on shelves in the very near future.
