We can safely say it's superior to most other displays in the world

Full HD monitors are common and 4K displays are pretty overkill for now, but there's a space right in between those, a space that BenQ chose to fit its latest creation in.

I am, of course, talking about the WQHD resolution, or 2560 x 1440 pixels. The BenQ BL3200PT monitor has such a screen.

Said screen also happens to exhibit a brightness of 300 cd/m2, a response time of 4 ms, and a contrast ratio of 3,000:1 (20,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio). All of them above average values, to be sure.

Common displays are 1920 x 1080 Full HD panels with 250 cd/m2 brightness and 1,000:1 contrast. Clearly, the AMVA panel that BenQ used here set the BL3200PT a bit apart from the rest.

The monitor has a diagonal of 32 inches and benefits from Flicker-free technology and blue light reduction, these being the two main sources of eye strain.

If you want details, you can set the BenQ BL3200PT in Multimedia mode (30% reduction), Web-surfing (50% reduction), Office (60% reduction), and Reading mode (70% reduction in blue light intensity).

The BenQ BL3200PT (complete with swivel- and height-adjustable stand) should start shipping this month or the next (May 2014) for $600 / €600.
