The tiny creature was born on January 16, spends most of its time clinging to its mom

On January 16, the Ellen Trout Zoo in the state of Texas in the United States welcomed a male baby Linne's two-toed sloth. The tiny creature was born to a female living in captivity at this facility.

Despite the fact that it is only a few days old, it is already strong enough to grab hold of its mom's fur and hold on to it for dear life while the latter moves around the family's enclosure.

In fact, it would appear that the baby sloth does not care all that much who gets to carry it around, just as long it does not have to move about on its own.

Hence the fact that, as shown in the picture above, which was taken when the sloth was just 3 days old, it does not shy away from hugging its caretakers whenever they come and separate it from its mom for a quick checkup.

The tiny creature is healthy and about as active as one would expect a sloth to be, Zoo Borns reports.

Its caretakers weigh it on a daily basis, and say that they have to bribe its mom with a tasty treat in order to be able to separate the two for as long as it takes to examine the baby.
