14 DAY TRIAL // Bad news for iOS gamers, fans of Bioshock series, as 2K Games has just removed the original title from App Store. The problem is that not even those who previously purchased the game can download it again if they uninstalled it at some point.
The removal of the Bioshock for iOS is based on the developer's decision and has something to do with iOS 8.4, which apparently has broken the game completely.
Originally, publisher 2K Games confirmed the issue and stated that developers were working to fix the game and would provide it as an update as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, Bioshock was completely removed from App Store soon afterwards, and as mentioned earlier, owners of the game aren't able to download it anymore.
Ask for refund since it will no longer be available for download
iOS users who already own Bioshock but can't download it anymore have reached out to 2K Games support and have already received answers that bring even more bad news.
“I understand you’re having issues with Bioshock for mobile gaming. Unfortunately, you are correct we don’t currently have this game for mobile gaming anymore, which I know can be frustrating. The removal of the game was a developer decision. This happens occasionally, but thankfully not often.”
“I’m terrible sorry for this, if you purchased Bioshock for IOS and you would like a refund, Apple will be of great assistance. Since the transaction wasn’t completed through us, we can not perform a full refund back to you.”
“However you will be able to complete a refund with Apple. They will be able to do this for you. Again, I’m terrible sorry for this experience, but I hope that Apple can clear this up for you as soon as possible.”
That being said, those who purchased Bioshock can now ask Apple for refunds since the game will probably never be listed on App Store again.
Since the game won't be available for download anymore, even if you already have Bioshock installed on your iOS device, you won't be able to get it again if you uninstall it.
