NBA, Borderlands and Bioshock series no longer accessible

Unfortunately, as we're getting closer to the end of the free trial for GeForce Now Founders subscribers, things are looking grimmer than ever. After Activision-Blizzard and Bethesda removed all their games from the cloud streaming service, another big publisher pulled out from GeForce Now over the weekend: 2K Games.

In case you're not familiar with 2K Games' catalog, here are some of the games that were available to play via GeForce Now until recently but are no longer accessible as per publisher's request: BioShock 2 Remastered, Bioshock Infinite, BioShock Remastered, Borderlands 2, Borderlands 3, Borderlands Game of the Year Enhanced, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, Mafia III, NBA 2K Playgrounds 2, NBA 2K17, NBA 2K18, NBA 2K19, Civilization V, Civilization VI, The Darkness II, The Golf Club 2019 featuring PGA TOUR, WWE 2K19, WWE 2K20, WARRIORS OROCHI 4, and XCOM 2.

If you bought any of the games above specifically to play them on NVIDIA's GeForce Now service, you will no longer be able to do so and it doesn't look like they will be back anytime soon. However, NVIDIA did say that it's working with 2K Games to re-enable their games in the future, but that doesn't offer any guarantees that they will be available on GeForce Now.

On a positive note, Epic's CEO Tim Sweeney said his company fully supports NVIDIA's GeForce Now and promised that any future exclusives will be available to play via the cloud streaming service.

Epic is wholeheartedly supporting NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW service with Fortnite and with Epic Games Store titles that choose to participate (including exclusives), and we’ll be improving the integration over time. It’s the most developer-friendly and publisher-friendly of the major streaming services, with zero tax on game revenue. Game companies who want to move the game industry towards a healthier state for everyone should be supporting this kind of service!
