It will finally be up for sale next month, April 2013, despite being announced last year

There are products that show up on the market as though they had suddenly fallen from the sky, and then there are items that stay in limbo for so long that people forget they were ever supposed to arrive.

BenQ's GW2760HS would have probably ended up as one of the latter, and some may even say it was one for a while.

In fact, the product still hasn't arrived, despite having been initially unveiled back in December of last year (2012).

The folks at Hardware.info have just done us the favor of telling the world that yes, the product is still coming, even if it takes another month for it to happen.

Indeed, the BenQ GW2760HS will only start shipping at some point in April, through various retail outlets.

It will have a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD, 16:9 aspect ratio) and, thanks to the white-LED backlighting and the A-MVA LCD panel, a contrast ratio of 3,000:1.

The display also has very wide viewing angles, of 178 degrees both horizontally and vertically (H/V). It makes sure more than one person can comfortable view it, and that they don't need to be right in front of it to do so.

The DCR (dynamic contrast ratio) is in the level of million (dynamic mega-contrast), which brings clarity in low-light scenes and fast scene transition.

Other specifications include a standard 3.5 mm-jack, 1W stereo speakers, and three video inputs (DVI, HDMI, D-Sub). Audio from the 3.5mm jack and HDMI are relayed through another 3.5mm connector.

BenQ's 27-inch GW2760HS will have a price of 269 Euro, which corresponds to $347 according to exchange rates. Knowing how seldom they are reflected in prices, however, we find it more likely that the US price, provided shipments happen there, will be of $269 instead.
