14 DAY TRIAL // 26-year-old Lauren Williams of Houston, Texas, is rumored to have the absolute longest legs anywhere in America, and understandably so.
Her lower limbs measure an astounding 49 inches (124.5 centimeters) from hip to heel, which very much explains why, ever since her teenage years, her friends have been calling her “the giraffe.”
The good news is that Lauren does not mind the nickname. If she did, she probably wouldn't go on Instagram as @theclassicgiraffe.
Lauren Williams works as a model
Young Lauren Williams started working as a model about 4 years ago. She models anything from sportswear to high fashion and swimsuits, and admits that her long legs get quite a lot of attention.
“I never realized that it would turn out to be such a big deal, but I’m really excited,” she explained in a recent interview, as cited by DM.
“Pretty regularly I have people comment on how tall I am or how longs my legs are. I don’t recall a time when I realized I had such long legs, it was just always something about me,” she went on to add.
When she's not busy modeling, the 26-year-old works as an educator at a local museum for children. Then, to relax, she travels.
Lauren Williams credits her parents, both fairly tall people, for her especially long legs. While she doesn't mind being quite tall herself, she admits that long legs can be a drag when shopping for clothes or trying to get comfy on a bus or plane.
Not the absolute record holder, though
While 26-year-old Lauren Williams' legs are undoubtedly longer than average, they are still too short for the young model to be officially recognized as the woman with the longest legs in the world, or at least in the US.
This record is currently held by Russian-born Svetlana Pankratova, a basketball coach living in Virginia and whose legs measure an astounding 51.9 inches (nearly 132 centimeters) from hip to heel.
