A group of 25 African American customers have been told to leave a cafe in South Carolina over a complaint by a white customer.

Huffington Post details that the incident took place at Wild Wing Cafe in Charleston. The shift manager allegedly let them wait for two hours until giving them a table.

After two hours, they were then told that they could not sit in a specific section, as a white customer is feeling “threatened” by their group.

Michael Brown described that they had been waiting quietly and there was no reason to assume that they would cause a conflict. He has discussed the issue on Facebook, asking for a pub.

One of the members of his party pulled out a phone and tried to capture the conversation on camera, at which point they were all made to leave.

The manager has told them that they have a right to choose their customers at the diner; therefore, she does not have to provide further explanations.
