Wireless mice, any wireless peripherals really, have either Wi-Fi radio support (involving a USB receiver) or Bluetooth technology, but Rapoo decided it was high time the world saw one of those rare models that had both.

Enter the Dual Mode Optical Mouse 6610, which combines the benefits of Bluetooth 3.0 with those of 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.

It is good for people who own several different portable gadgets in addition to a PC, and who travel often, because you can easily switch from one device to another.

The USB Nano receiver is employed when communicating over Wi-Fi, while the integrated Bluetooth capabilities of phones/tablets will recognize the signal from the mouse without any intermediary.

Furthermore, the high-definition invisible tracking engine in the mouse has a resolution of 1,000 DPI. As for the range, it should be of about 10 meters / 33 feet. That's the standard reach of such peripherals.

Speaking of 10-meter ranges, the Dual Mode Optical Mouse 6610 is not the only mouse that Rapoo has released just now.

In its press release, the corporation also delivered the Bluetooth Optical Mouse 6080, which only possesses Bluetooth 3.0 support, but is otherwise similar to the other one.

Of course, it does not ship with a USB Nano receiver, since there is no Wi-Fi link to translate into peripheral signal.

The battery should last for up to 6 months of uninterrupted use, for the second mouse at least. It's uncertain if the other peripheral will make it for as long.

The Rapoo Bluetooth Optical Mouse 6080 is up for sale in black for the price of $19.99 / €19.99, or $20 / €20 if we were to round it up. Shipping costs will probably add a bit on top of it anyway.

That said, the Dual Mode Optical Mouse 6610 has a price of $24.99 / €24.99, or $25 / €25. Black and gray color options are available for this one, since it's the higher-end part and, thus, likely to appeal to owners with enough money to spare for a specific style.

Both mice have a symmetrical construction, which means that it doesn't matter if you're left-handed or right-handed. They won't really suit your play style perfectly if you're a hardcore gamer and tournament player, but they're not supposed to. There are plenty of high-end, special mice for that. These two Rapoo models are intended for browsing the web, using office application and the occasional casual game.
