ViewSonic's been extremely active on the market lately (just look at the numerous tablets it launched over the past couple of weeks), but the company's area of interest goes way beyond the aforementioned utra-portable computing solutions, as they've also released a brand-new 22-inch touchscreen AIO (all-in-one) PC targeting specifically the business segment. Dubbed VPC220T, the device also targets classrooms, lobbies, hospitals, libraries and other environments where space is at a premium, being able to deliver a good level of performance while maintaining a slim and slender form factor. The multi-touch device is powered by a 3.06 GHz Intel dual-core CPU (Pentium Processor E6600), Intel G41 chipset and 4GB of DDR3 memory, accompanied by dedicated NVIDIA GeForce graphics and a LED-backlit display that supports Full HD, 1080p content, while also making it easy to view documents side by side, or use the VGA port for dual screen viewing. The display delivers an 1000:1 static contrast ratio, 170 and 160 horizontal/vertical viewing angles, 5 ms response time, 250 nits brightness and a 50,000-hour estimated panel life. Moreover, storage is provided by a 3.5-inch SATA, 5400rpm HDD, available, sadly, just in a 320GB version. The AIO system also delivers Wi-Fi or Gigabit Ethernet networking options, along with a built-in Super Multi DVD R/W drive, 1.3 megapixel webcam, card reader, stereo speakers, HDMI-in and 6 high-speed USB 2.0 port. The VPC220T comes with a one-year limited warranty and is now available for an ESP of $1,049, which is actually not that bad a price, considering the features and specs the device has in store. Moreover, for those that desire all the features of the VPC220T without the touch functionality, ViewSonic also offers the VPC220 all-in-one PC for an ESP of $949, which is a very OK offering, especially if you prefer a more traditional approach to computing.
