Apple will introduce three different iPhone models this year, and while for many the iPhone X Plus with 6.5-inch OLED screen will be the star of the show, even the Cupertino-based giant itself is betting big on the more affordable 6.1-inch LCD version.

There’s been a lot of talk regarding the cheaper iPhone that Apple is working on, and a new purported leak that happened today claims to provide us with a closer look at the front fascia of the device.

Case maker Olixar has published renders of what it believes to be Apple’s 2018 iPhone lineup, which includes the said more affordable LCD version.

If these photos are accurate, the 2018 iPhone X will look similar to the existing model, while the Plus-sized version will be reminiscent to this device, only that it’ll feature a bigger screen. On the other hand, it seems there’s a chance the LCD configuration won’t feature the same edge-to-edge approach, but instead come with slightly bigger bezels all around the screen.

In addition to the LCD panel that would be used on this model, the more affordable iPhone is also expected to lack some more premium features which Apple wants to remove in order to bring the price as low as possible.

For example, the device might not boast a dual-camera system, but instead stick with a single unit. 3D Touch could also be removed, according to previous leaks, and so might the glass body, which allowed Apple to enable wireless charging on the original iPhone X.

A more affordable iPhone doesn’t necessarily mean a low-cost model. Rumor has it that the device could be priced somewhere close to $699, meaning that it won’t be as expensive as the iPhone X, but still not as cheap as a typical mid-ranger running Android.

All three models will see daylight in September, with sales most likely projected to begin later the same month or in early October.
