Samsung has been refreshing some of its flagship tablets this year, and it seems that the company is preparing to release a revamped variant of the 2015 Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 at T-Mobile. The carrier will be selling both last year's model and this year's reiteration.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 will be arriving at T-Mobile, according to a Bluetooth certification that the device has received. The tablet features the model code SM-T818T, as reported by Motog3, with the last T in the moniker standing for T-Mobile USA. Since the unlocked version of the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 had the code name SM-T819, this here must be the variant designed for the US carrier.

The tablet will pack a 9.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution and will run Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC, coupled with an Adreno 510 GPU and an octa-core CPU with four Cortex A72 cores clocked at 1.8GHz and the other Cortex A53 cores at 1.4GHz.

Samsung's Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 should sport an 8MP rear camera

Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 should come with 3GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card. The tablet will feature an 8MP camera on the back and a 2.1MP front-facing unit. It will also feature a fingerprint scanner and support 4G LTE connectivity. Battery capacity will suffice at 5,870mAh, and the tablet should run Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 out of the box.

Last year's Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 was available at US Cellular in September, and it boasted roughly the same specs as this year's variant for T-Mobile, except that it came with Android Lollipop 5.1. The Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 was officially unveiled last July, but it was made available for purchase only at the beginning of fall. At this point, there's no word on when the tablet will be arriving at T-Mobile.
