The development team at EA Sports has not yet made an official announcement, but it seems that all those who are interested in the new 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil will be able to get a demo of the football title on April 1.

The information comes from the United States PlayStation blog, which lists the download as part of the content update that will be coming to the PS Store.

It’s not yet clear what kind of experience the demo for 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil will offer, but gamers should probably look forward to the change to play one match between some of the most important teams that will take part in the real-world tournament, including the host nation, England, Germany and Spain.

The studio might also choose to show off one of the big new game modes that will be part of the title, of which the most interesting is Captain Your Country, designed to give gamers a chance to control a player who rises from relative obscurity until he gets a chance to lead his national team to victory.

Other new game modes in 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil include: Road to the FIFA World Cup, Road to Rio de Janeiro, Story of Finals, 2014 FIFA World Cup and Story of Qualifying.

The game will also include all the national teams in the world, all of them with accurately simulated kits and with rosters of players based on their real-world stars, each with their strengths and weaknesses.

EA Sports is also surveying the stadiums that will be used in Brazil in order to simulate them for the virtual matches, complete with crowds and complex choreographies.

2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil will be launched on the Xbox 360 from Microsoft and the PlayStation 3 from Sony on April 15 of this year in the United States and two days later in Europe.

EA Sports has promised that the game mechanics have been improved when compared to FIFA 14, especially when it comes to defensive headers and to the way players position themselves on the pitch.

The company has chosen not to launch the new title on the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 and the PC because it has limited resources that it needs to use to reach as many players as possible.

DLC linked to the real-world Brazil tournament will be launched on these platforms at an unspecified date.
