Ever the rebel Miley Cyrus didn't disappoint when she dropped a glorious profanity right in the middle of the acceptance speech last night at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards. All she had to do was give thanks for winning the Top Streaming Song (video) award, but she couldn't even do that without getting bleeped by ABC.

Her winning song was “Wrecking Ball” and Miley was supposed to just show her appreciation for coming out on top of the category. Speaking from behind the stage in England where she is touring at the moment, the singer told audiences, “Thank you to everybody for making this [expletive] possible.”

The former Disney princess seemed to quickly catch herself and covered her mouth, before saying “Oops sorry, forgot I was on ABC.” Not a very convincing act sadly, but at least she did apologize.

Always looking to get a rise out of people, Miley probably thought that she was being cool and making fun of the system, despite the fact that she knew full well she would be censored, since all of the award shows are broadcast with a slight delay to allow producers to censor precisely this kind of incidents.

Maybe Miley was testing to see if the she could catch the producers off their game, but it wasn't meant to be. She sort of made up for her loose tongue later in the evening when she gave a performance with the Flaming Lips of the 1967 Beatles classic “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds!”
