Lexus announced it is expanding the offering for the 2012 MY CT 200h line in the United States with the addition of the F Sport Special Edition to address the customers’ needs of superior comfort and elegance, while rolling in an environmentally-friendly vehicle.

Available for only the Premium model, the 2012 CT 200h F Sport Special Edition is offered in three colors, Nebula Gray Pearl, Starfire Pearl and Tungsten Pearl.

Among the special features offered by the new package we can mention the F Sport 17-inch alloy wheels with Liquid Silver finish, an F Sport suspension with anti-sway bar and springs, Ocean Blue NuLuxe trimmed seats, and Black F Sport floor mats with blue contrast stitching.

Also included are TUMI tote and backpack both with F Sport embossed logo and Ocean Blue NuLuxe zippers and lining.

The F Sport Package brings unique front mesh grille, larger rear spoiler, F Sport exterior badge, metal front scuff plates, aluminum sport pedals, metallic trim added to dash panel, perforated leather-trimmed steering wheel with F Sport logo, leather-trimmed shift knob, and Black headliner.

Customers who choose to buy the 2012 CT 200h F Sport Special Edition will also benefit from theNavigation Package and the Premium Audio Package.

Power for the Lexus CT 200h comes from a 1.8-liter  VVT-i gasoline engine mated to a powerful electric-motor fueled by nickel-metal hydride batteries. The total system output of 134 hp allows the vehicle to go from 0-60 mph in 9.8 seconds.

The Lexus CT 200h has an EV (electric-vehicle) mode that allows it to run on only on its electric-motor for up to 1.2 miles at speeds of up to 28 mph.

The hybrid returns an EPA-estimated fuel economy 43/40 mpg city/highway and 42 mpg combined.

The newly-released special package costs $37,995 (about €28,500 at the current exchange rate) and it is set to arrive at dealerships next month, with just 900 available nationwide.
