LG Shine is one of the most stylish phones to be released this year, and LG has shown that it can in fact keep up the good work and release a phone that can match and surpass the Chocolate in success. The second handset in the Black Label range from the phone manufacturing company has already been released on most markets including the UK and Europe and seems to be doing pretty well.

LG has reported that in Europe, throughout a month, the Shine has sold more than the accumulated sales in Korea. It's actually to be expected, since Europeans have always had a taste for fashionable gadgets of all types. LG has also beaten the sales of the Chocolate throughout the respective period from last year.

Phones4U, a leading retailer in the UK has named the Shine its top selling phone for the two week period after its launch. Even now, total daily sales of all UK retailers won't leave the 2000 units-a-day mark. According to LG, the main factor behind the Shine's success is its sophisticated design that appeals to a large number of users.

Considering that its spec sheet isn't all that bad either, the Shine is likely to be one of the best-selling phones of the year. It includes a 2.2 inch screen with a QVGA resolution, 2 megapixel Schneider Kreuznach camera with flash and autofocus, media player with support for MP3, WAV, AAC++ file formats and a MicroSD card slot that provides more storage space for music and other files. When Dr. Skott Ahn, President and CEO of LG Electronics stated that '2007 is the year to Shine', apparently he wasn't joking around. Comparing to the Chocolate, Shine has managed to pull off even bigger sales numbers, with over 200,000 sold since its release.
