One can't help wondering: couldn't it be the machine itself to blame again...?

Just last night, 2K Games surprised its fans with an update for BioShock. Lord knew the game had some serious bugs and 2K was prompted to do something, and fast. And so they did, according to 1UP.com, as 2K Games community manager, Elizabeth Tobey told the website that the update "improves stability on autosaves, fixes a bug where an AI will not utilize health stations properly, and fixes a music bug in the title menu." However, it seems that once gamers updated their game, other issues began to arise.

Freezing and hitching were the reason why hundreds of complaining lines over the forums started to appear as soon as everyone was getting back into their game. Of course, not everyone has experienced the respective glitches, meaning that the problem could be the fatal combination of faulty Xbox 360s and an incompatible patch. If this is the case, there's not much hope for those users.

Or is there? According to the upper mentioned website, Tobey assured that "2K is keeping an eye on the forums and customer service to track people's experiences, and notes..." and while they don't deny the existence of a problem regarding this newly launched update, the solution to all the freeing could be simpler than everyone might have thought. Apparently, simply clearing the cache will solve the problem, but as 1UP mentions, this goes for "most" users - not all users. The command is rather simple too. All you have to do is hold the right and left analog sticks while the game loads.

It still puzzles me though. Irrational (the game's developer) has thrown so many resources and time in BioShock and all they managed to deliver was a glitchy game (where Big Daddies even masturbate), which is why Microsoft should really take a closer look to their Xbox 360. Everyone knows that fancy games are sensitive to a whole array of issues, but Irrational know what they're doing - it's their game; we've heard of 360s freezing with other games and patches before... Well, you got the idea.
