At this point, I don’t think Mark Wahlberg can do anything to fall from grace, not after he’s proved time and time again he can carry movies on his own, doing varied and challenging roles. “2 Guns” could turn out to be a light buddy cop action flick, but he promises not to disappoint in his role.

Plus, he’s partnered with Denzel Washington, so, really, this doesn’t get any better than this.

Check out the first official trailer for the film in full and in HD above.

Washington and Wahlberg play two special agents (thus the name of the film) from different agencies, infiltrated in a drug cartel and posing as bank robbers.

When one bank robbery goes bust, they suddenly find themselves in a world of trouble, which, obviously, requires them to work together whether they like it or not.

“2 Guns” is directed by Baltasar Kormakur, who worked with Wahlberg before on “Contraband,” and will be out on August 2.
