They will be used in automotive and industrial applications

Given the many DDR3 memory modules out there, and the approach of DDR4, most people probably think that DDR2 is completely gone from the minds of manufacturers, but that's not the case, as I'M Intelligent Memory has just proved.

Granted, consumer products don't use DDR2 chips anymore, and neither do most other contemporary devices.

But there are, nevertheless, certain applications, like automotive entertainment systems or lighting arrays, or industrial systems, where DDR2 SDRAM can be useful.

So I'M Intelligent decided to release high-capacity chips that are compatible with that memory standard.

Until now, there were only DDR2 chips with 512 Mb RAM and 1 Gb capacity, but the newest ones have 2 Gb and 4 Gb, respectively.

The former come in x4, x8 and x16 chip configurations (FBGA60 or FBGA84 package), 2 Gigabit Dual-Die (DDP) DDR2 in x8 configuration (FBGA63 package), and 4 Gigabit Dual-Die (DDP) DDR2 in x8 configuration (FBGA63 package).
