1Password Pro, a special edition of the award-winning 1Password application with more than 1 million users worldwide, has been promoted to version 3.5.3 which adds iOS 4.2 support for iPad users, and improved Dropbox sync, to name a few key enhancements, as well as bug fixes.

1Password securely stores important information and can automatically log users into websites with a single tap. There's no need to remember the username, password, or even the website address. Users have a single, master password that is used to automatically fill forms with their credentials, when needed.

The app has a user interface that has been specifically designed for both iPhone and iPad. Notably, a special easy switching mode allows users to quickly copy-and-paste usernames and passwords to Safari on their portable Apple device.

As noted above, 1Password Pro 3.5.3 adds compatibility with iOS 4.2 which, implicitly, adds support for multi-tasking on the iPad.

Besides adding full support for iOS 4.2, the new release also delivers a one-time prompt to ask users about AutoLock settings when running in the background - a convenience vs security trade-off, according to the makers of the app.

Another new addition is the 'Lock when Inactive' option in Settings > Security > Auto-Lock on iPad.
