14 DAY TRIAL // Adding precisely 20 changes since its latest update, 1Password 3.1.3 (build #30645) is now available as a free download to all existing users. The update mostly includes improvements and bug fixes, but also improves support for the Google Chrome extension.
Talking about the latter, Agile Web Solutions (the maker of 1Password) claims that, “This extension is still in development,” and that users can install it utilizing some of the instructions posted on the Agile blog. As far as the rest of the changes go, Agile has improved the AutoSave code, so that 1Password detects logins that already exist better, and enhanced compatibility with items created using 1Password for Windows. Pronounceable password generator now always generates single-digit separators. 1Password now locks data files when Fast User Switching. The developers also took care of the Troubleshooting section of the Helo menu.
The company also simplified the Help menu, and changed “Help > Version History” to “Help > Release Notes.” The display scope for newly saved web logins now defaults to 'For Web Pages Only.' Clearing additional caches when updating the Firefox extension will hopefully fix Firefox startup conflicts reported by some users, Agile reports. 1Password now supports automatic unlocking of the Google Chrome extension and even fixes a problem generating correct length password when a large number of digits and symbols are used. Finally, the new version brings improved localization support and updated German localization. The bug fixes for this version are listed below.
