Agile Web Solutions has just released the final version of 1Password 3.0.0 Mac OS X, the most significant upgrade the company has delivered so far to users. Then, new solution comes towards users with support for file attachments, the possibility to view private information securely from almost any computer, a redesigned interface compared to previous versions, and other more.

The new 1Password 3 comes with support for Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) and Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), including full 64-bit support. However, Tiger users will still have to use 1Password 2, the company announced. A quick look at the video attached at the end of this article will offer you the possibility to learn a little more details on what the new 1Password 3, which comes with more than 50 new features, is all about.

The release notes for the final version of the software solution include: · CHANGED Clearing source list selection when performing advanced search. · CHANGED Removed some predicate options that do not work as expected when searching tags and full contents. · CHANGED Changed path control handling in Preferences window (Agile Keychain path, Backup folder path) to always show the final path in Finder · CHANGED Help > Troubleshooting menu item names now match the button names in Preferences. · CHANGED Changed wording beside the Replace checkbox in the sync window to make it clear that this setting is persistent.

The new version also comes around with a series of fixes, including some for the defocus of item title immediately after creating a new item, problem hiding dynamic content views with empty values, problem with hover-copy in login fields table when scrolling, bug saving, and updating table columns. In addition, the unnecessary '...' after some menu items has been removed, the search now closes even after search results are dragged into folders. “Forcing Title and Access Code fields in the bookmarklet detail view to be editable to prevent problem when Access Code is cannot be edited” is another fixed issue.

As many of you might already know, the 1Password 3 comes as a paid upgrade, yet it is available for free for those who purchased 1Password 2 after February 1st, 2009. We should also mention that one of the requirements of the solution is a modern browser, which includes Safari 4, Firefox 3, Camino, OmniWeb 5, DEVONagent 2, or NetNewsWire 3.
