Agile Web Solutions has released a new beta version of its password manager and form filler for Mac OS X, 1Password. The new product includes three code corrections, one of which addresses an issue where some saved logins would not appear in the Fill Login menu.

Upon releasing 1Password 2.9.4 Beta 1, Agile Web Solutions confirmed and addressed an issue that prevented the application's Preferences from syncing via MobileMe. The company also updated the toolbar images of 1Password for OmniWeb 5.8. Fixes included in the early builds of 1Password 2.9.4 hid items from the Bookmarks menu, if they were also set to be hidden in the browser. A problem with keyboard shortcuts in Firefox had been addressed as well.

Fresh out of beta just days ago, 1Password 2.9.4 Final improved automatic license registration and about seven code corrections. These included a problem when renaming the folder did not take immediate effect, as well as an issue with launching 1Password Agent on Tiger. Agile Web Solutions also said that the new version wouldn't crash on startup anymore, if the Agile Keychain was not valid. Lastly, a problem with missing 1Password help was addressed.

The changelog for 1Password 2.9.5 Beta 1 now reveals that developers had to revise their fix for 1Password crashing on startup, when the Agile Keychain was not valid. New fixes also include a resolved issue where some saved logins would not appear in the Fill Login menu. This fix has eventually prevented the 1Password application from loading on G3 processors.

1Password starts at $39.95 - Single User license. A Family license costs $59.95. 1Password is licensed on a per-person basis (a single license can be used by one person on as many Macs as they can afford), in order to reduce 1Password's total cost of ownership. By using the link below, you can update to the latest version, try out 1Password for free in demo mode, or buy a copy of the software. Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) or Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) is required to run the Universal app supported on both PPC and Intel processors.
