Skyera adopts the services of that particular company

SK Hynix used to be known as Hynix before it acquired some other companies and became large enough to warrant a name update.

The company is one of the most often called upon for the manufacture of NAND Flash memory.

Sure, Samsung, Toshiba and other large-profile companies make their own semiconductors, but all those that don't have their own fabs outsource their orders.

Skyera is one such company, and has placed order for SK Hynix' 16nm NAND Flash memory.

Sadly, despite how much I'd have loved to hear about it, the announcement didn't give any info on the 16nm process technology (memory capacity, production schedule, etc.).

All we know is the Skyera will use it for its skyEagle all-flash enterprise storage array.

"The information exchange between Skyera's team of elite flash storage system designers and the chip design expertise and cutting-edge manufacturing process optimization of SK Hynix offers staggering potential for the future of enterprise flash storage," said Skyera CEO Radoslav Danilak stated.
