New Memory Stick allows you to store more discographies and porn collections

Sony's latest announcement is not a PS4, nor is it a third version of the acclaimed PSP, but rather a storage device that will surely make you adore your favorite handheld console even more. The PlayStation series' creator has just announced a 16GB Memory Stick Pro Duo, which will be available starting from March 2008, at the huge price tag of $300.

Throw in about $100 extra and you'll be able to buy a PS3, if you look for it hard enough. Is it worth the effort of buying storage space for your PSP, enough to compete with the Xbox 360's most basic hard drive? What are you going to do with all that space? Of course, the answers can pop up sooner than you might expect, but you should leave out any homebrewing stuff and think about what you can do with the memory card legally.

Since Pinnacle have just introduced a brand new video converter at CES 2008, you'll be able to use this great kit to bring all the DVD and HD goodies to your PSP, by simply converting videos to MPEG-4 files, supported by Sony's popular handheld console. How about an internal memory on your next similar device, Sony? That would surely increase the console's price, but in the long run, we will be satisfied with not having to pay extra for more storage space.

There's one silver lining in this whole "$300 for a memory card" cloud and it's a pretty predictable one: once this memory stick gets popular (if ever, at least in the first months) the price for the 4GB and 8GB cards will surely drop and that can only make the PSP owners happy. How many Seinfeld episodes can you fit on a 16GB memory stick? How many Metallica concerts? How many Avenged Sevenfold songs? Answer by posting comments below!
