It really seems that Mitsubishi decided to do things at a very large scale for this year's International CES, since the company's main attractions were a brand-new 92-inch 3D Home Cinema TV, as well as an equally impressive 155-inch OLED display.

While relatively few details regarding the super-wide OLED display have been provided, apart from the fact that it has been designed for the digital signage market, there's plenty of info availale regarding the 3D Home Cinema TV, as you'll be able to see as follows.

The new display solution is driven by the same core DLP technology with 120Hz Sub-Frame Rate used by many 3D movie theaters and, beside incorporating the 3D IR emitter (for the active shutter 3D glasses), also supports StreamTV™ Internet Media and leverages the multi-speaker Immersive Sound Technology (IST) for an enhanced cinematographic experience.

Additional features worth mentioning include the Center Channel Mode w/Center Channel input, Rear Channel Pre-outputs, Sub-woofer Output, as well as Bluetooth Streaming Audio, 4 HDMI inputs, ISFccc, an USB Media player, Advanced Calibration Mode for professional installers, Universal Remote Control, Jade User Interface and New Clear Contrast Screen.

““Mitsubishi Electric has consistently delivered big, bright, technologically-advanced displays from one of the world’s largest HD video screen at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, and now to our super-sized 92-inch 3D Home Cinema TV”,” says Frank DeMartin, vice president, marketing at Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America. “

"With our new 92-inch 3DTV Mitsubishi will continue to fuel the home 3D market, where size does matter to consumers looking to create an immersive 3D home entertainment experience for movies, sports, games and all sorts of new and exciting 3D content,” added Mr. DeMartin.

Unfortunately, Mitsubishi's rep said nothing about the possible pricing and availability of the company's new 92-inch 3D behemoth, but given just how expensive the rest of the lineup is, we don't expect this thing to come cheap either.
