Which could have been the odds for a betting site to put out the iPhone as one of their most catchy subjects for their visitors to guess on? BetUs brings several options that people can choose from and place some real money where they consider that one iPhone-related possibility will actually happen.

The list of possible bets turns out to be quite imaginative. We have the short-term possible events and the long term ones. Related to the release of the iPhone, there are 20 in 1 chances that someone will get trampled while trying to get an iPhone. We've seen mall openings and sells until now and that's not nearly as motivating as Apple's phone might turn out to be.

Some people have already earned some money for betting on the 3 in 1 chances for the press reporting about consumers camping out Apple stores waiting for an iPhone. Even some videos of the two first campers are available for those interested, so we are waiting to see whether all the other predictions will come true.

There are 30 in 1 odds that the initial iPhone emission gets recalled and 2 in 1 that consumers will pay at least USD1500 on eBay for such a device. Reports of iPhones being spotted on eBay have appeared before too, although fake. Considering the fact that Apple will empty its first stock due to pre-orders, there are high chances that many people will pay good money just to get such a device.

There are some predictions too on the iPhone's technology, some quite drastic. There are 150 to 1 odds that this smartphone will spontaneously combust or that the screen will break.

Some long term bets offer 1 to 1.2 odds that the iPhone sells in at least 12 million units in 2008, or whether in the first month it will sell more or less than 1.2 million units.
