Renowned Swedish lighting manufacturer, Profoto, announced, in a recent press release, a new line of high-quality umbrellas available in all shapes and sizes.

Umbrellas are commonly used by professional photographers for indoor or outdoor photo shoots when the available light is not enough or a specific lighting pattern needs to be used.

Profoto is well known for their high-quality studio strobes, continuous lights, light shaping tools (umbrellas, reflectors, softboxes etc.) and recently for the world's first studio off-camera flash with TTL capabilities.

The new umbrella line will feature twelve redesigned umbrella models available in two shapes (deep and shallow) that aim to be affordable, easy to work with and very easy to transport.

The new Profoto Umbrella Deep has a deeper, more parabolic shape than the old one allowing the photographer to easily control the light spread as well as focusing and shaping light with the utmost ease. This model comes in two sizes (130cm/51'' and 165cm/65'') and three different fabrics: White, Silver and Translucent designed to cover all your photographic needs.

The Profoto Umbrella Shallow has a smaller and less parabolic design, making it lightweight and highly portable. These umbrellas also come in two sizes (85cm/33'' and 105cm/41'') as well as three different fabrics: White, Silver and Translucent.

Both umbrella types are designed for years of heavy-duty use and come with superior quality fabrics and surface-treated metallic elements to prevent rust and discoloration.

The new umbrellas can also fit an optional Diffusor that allows you to turn them into large softboxes giving you an even softer light and more control over light spread.

All Profoto umbrellas are delivered in a high-quality bag for increased protection during transport and storage. The new umbrellas are available now at select retailers across the world. Would you consider buying any of these new high-quality umbrellas?
