It seems that not all tablets released nowadays are aimed at consumers, as Fujitsu has just completed one that is meant for a Japanese company and designed as a larger than usual Window 7 slate.

So far, quite a few number of tablets have been either previewed or already released, and Fujitsu has now added to the latter list.

What the company came up with is a tablet that can be said to be larger than most, if not all, media slates launched so far.

It is known as the DL Pad and was created for Dai-ichi, a company based on Japan.

The first thing that stands out, no doubt, is its screen size of 12.1 inches. This is because most slates have so far stuck to either a 7-inch or 10.1-inch diagonal.

The tablet has not exactly been detailed yet, not in full at least, which means that the insides cannot exactly be known yet.

Of course, speculations can be made based on what little info has been provided, though it will still take an actual detailed description for all mystery to be elucidated.

Since this tablet runs the Microsoft Windows 7 OS, it can be assumed that an Intel platform lies at its core, although whether it is Pine Trail or perhaps Oak Trail is a mystery.

The product is also 20mm-thick and has a weight of 950 grams, just a little short of a full kilogram, which may or may not hint at a solid amount of memory and storage.

Among the few details that are beyond doubt are USB connectivity and the possibility of locking or wiping the stored data remotely, so as to prevent the loss or misuse of important data.

More information, perhaps even a press release in English, might be provided soon, though there is no way of knowing for sure.

Other businesses, and maybe even consumers, may or may not eventually get access to the new product as well.
