14 DAY TRIAL // One of the world's leading game publishers and developers, Atari has just announced the availability of the Atari Greatest Hits application for Android phones.
The application provides access to Atari's 100 most popular retro games from the 70s and 80s for just $9.99 (7 EUR).
It looks like the large collection of games is a tribute to each of the originals and was designed to mimic the gameplay that Atari fans still remember from more than three decades ago.
Users who download the application will also receive the Missile Command, one of the 80s most famous arcade games, for free.
Players who cannot afford, or don't want to purchase all 100 Atari games at once can choose to acquire one of the 25 game packs, which are available for only $0.99 (0.7 EUR).

Initially launched for the iOS platform several months ago, Atari's packs of popular retro games was among the most download application for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
According to the company, Atari's Greatest Hits app exceeds 3.5 million downloads in the iTunes App Store.
The game packs available in the Android Market are sorted by genre, so players can choose among Asteroids PK, Battlezone PK, Centipede PK, Black Widow PK, Crystal Castles PK, Gravitar PK, Star Raiders PK, Pong PK and others.
Some of the games that can be purchased via Atari's Greatest Hits app for Android phones include: Centipede, Asteroids, Tempest, Battlezone, Gravitar, Star Raiders, Pong, Lunar, Lander, Super Breakout, 3D Tic-Tac-Toe, Casino, Football, Realsports Basketball, Realsports Football, Super Breakout 2600 and Hangman.
Atari's Greatest Hits application is now available as a free download from Android Market and is compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up.
