Microsoft announced today through a notice posted on their Web site that its monthly patch bundle will contain seven security bulletins and fixes for the Windows operating system, and one security bulletin for each of the following: Windows and Microsoft Services for Unix Exchange, Internet Security & Acceleration Server and Small Business Server.

The company also said that one of those seven bulletins and fixes for Windows is rated as critical, Microsoft's highest risk rating.

The alerts for Windows Services for Unix, ISA Server and Small Business Server are rated as moderate risks.

For Microsoft, a critical security issue represents a vulnerability that could allow a malicious Internet worm to spread without any action required on the part of the user.

Beside that, Microsoft has unveiled that it also plans to release on Tuesday an updated version of the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool.
