Mobile device manufacturer Bungbungame has announced it is bringing its 10-inch Android tablet to the US market just in time for the kick start of the holiday season.

The device is pretty similar to the ASUS Transformer Pad TF701T, but if for some reason you don’t want a "mainstream" tablet, you could consider the Kalos slate instead. After all, the two are priced the same at $449 / €331 a pop, says LaptopMag.

Let’s see what the Kalos offers in terms of specifications. For starters, it boasts a 10-inch screen with high 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution. In the photography department, we have a nice 13MP Sony camera with built-in flash on the back and a front-facing 1.2MP one. Power is pumped by a nifty Tegra 4 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM, the same as with the ASUS Transformer.

Kalos also bundles AM3D surround sound speakers, NFC, Miracast, MIMO, Bluetooth 4.0. The Transformer on the other hand, brings the extra Miracast support.

The default operating system for the Kalos is Android 4.2.2 while the Transformer got its Android 4.3 OTA update today. There’s 16GB of internal storage with the possibility of extending to up to 64GB. The company claims that the device’s battery should last up for 8.5 hours of intense use.

The Kalos tablet will be available from Newegg at the end of this month.
