Starting today, the official expansion for the award-winning The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, "The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles" for Windows, is available at retail stores throughout North America, say Take-Two Interactive and Bethesda Softworks (a ZeniMax Media company). The pack will be available in European stores later, on March 30th.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles features a totally new 30-hour quest experience and allows players to explore an entirely new plane of Oblivion - the realm of Sheogorath, the Daedric Prince of Madness. This exceptional RPG also adds to the existing world of Oblivion so players can continue with their existing save game/character, or create all new characters just to see what's new.

Players will first observe that landscapes split between the two sides are quite bizarre (Mania and Dementia - cool name Dementia) filled with vast, twisting dungeons mirroring the roots of the trees they are buried within. One will sometimes encounter more than a dozen creatures at a time including hideous insects, Flesh Atronachs, skeletal Shambles, and amphibious Grummites. Additionally, on their quest players will discover all new items, ingredients and spells while they can also take armor an weapons to craftsmen that will customize them according to the player's desire.

Just so everyone's on the same level here, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion released in March 2006 for the Xbox 360 has sold more than three million units up until this point. "The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles" was launched for PC platform, it is rated "M" for mature and it retails in stores across North America for $29.99. See the official site for more info on Shivering Isles.
