The blaze didn't get to the 'award-winning' upcoming titles fortunately

Wisconsin-based independent developer Human Head Studios was burned to the ground. Who? Human Head? Never heard of them, sorry. Shacknews brings the developer's impressions of the aftermath, posted on their official site: "No one was injured in the fire, and though we suffered some equipment and furniture loss due to smoke and water, we suffered no significant data loss, as the brunt of the fire was located in another part of the building."

Oh, OK, so it wasn't that bad. Although, it could have been worse, if the fire hadn't been stopped in time. Human Head might have not gotten the chance of releasing another "award-winning" product: "We're excited to let our concerned friends know that this speed bump won't keep us from continuing our development of great new award-winning product. (And which might that be if you don't mind me asking?). We will be relocating to a new office space for the short term, and we expect to be back in full development very soon."

Honestly, I had no idea that Human Head was responsible for the gravity-shifting first-person-shooter "Prey" (PC and Xbox 360), nor for the western-inspired FPS Dead Man's Hand (again, Xbox and PC).

Guys at Human Head were very happy when they got their new space at the office complex. Here's what they thought of it before it was burned to the ground, in an October 13, 2006 post:

"After many good years at our old office space, we've moved into new, larger digs that are better suited to both our current and future needs. Our new space was custom-built for us, with large conference rooms, spacious offices and work areas, as well as a brand new office theater with stadium seating and a killer sound system. It makes playing games and watching movies that much sweeter. Yeah, we're pretty happy here."

Guess they're going to have to start looking for a new office complex to continue work on that award-winning title. Why don't they mention its name, or a few details? They're still in shock because of the happenings, I'm sure.
