The wait is finally over. Starting today, Verizon Wireless customers can head over to the carrier's website to purchase a Samsung Fascinate, Big Red's version of Samsung Galaxy S, while being able to get it from the carrier's stores around the United States starting tomorrow, September 9th. The wireless operator announced officially the move only one day before making the device available for purchase, and also unveiled that it would sell the Android phone for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and the signing of a new two-year customer agreement.

The Samsung Fascinate comes to the market with the same high-end features that other Galaxy S models launched in the US packed inside.

Among these features, we can count a Samsung 1 GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird Application Processor, capable of offering great speed and graphics performance levels.

Moreover, users would enjoy a 4-inch touchscreen display with Super AMOLED Screen Technology, on which they would benefit from features like access to social networking sites, Amazon’s Kindle for Android app, and virtual QWERTY keyboard featuring SWYPE technology.

The new mobile phone runs under Google's Android 2.1 operating system, and offers support for a wide range of Google services, as well as for various applications that can be downloaded from the Android market.

Verizon Wireless customers interested in the purchase of the new Samsung Fascinate would have to subscribe to a Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk plan that starts at $39.99 per month, and to an Email and Web for Smartphone plan that begins at $29.99 for unlimited monthly access.

The Fascinate can be purchased from Verizon Wireless' website here.

According to the wireless carrier, users should also be able to enjoy a series of accessories with the new device, such as:

- Charging Cradle – Doubles as a phone charger and includes a micro USB wall adapter so customers can view movies, display digital photos, and listen to music. It can also be used as a desktop speakerphone to make hands-free calls, and it comes preloaded with the Samsung “Desk Home” application, which allows customers to switch brightness levels from day to night and provides one-touch access to Samsung Widgets and Bing Voice Search. The charging cradle is available for $29.99.

- Car Dock – Attachable to the windshield or dashboard, the car dock displays turn-by-turn GPS navigation instructions, rotates freely between landscape and portrait modes, and features a preloaded Samsung “Car Home” application, giving customers access to everything the “Desk Home” app can do while on the go. The car dock is available for $39.99.

- Backup Battery Charging System – Includes a 1500 mAH battery, battery charger and Y-cable for charging a phone and spare battery simultaneously. It is available for $39.99.
