At this year’s Golden Globes, Sandra Bullock unveiled a new look, with darker, straighter hair and very long bangs. Her style was impeccable as always, but fashion gurus branded her new ‘do a huge hit and miss.

If fans also happen to be among those who believe Bullock looks much better without what critics are calling the “bangs drama,” they needn’t worry.

PopEater has learned that the new look is only temporary, while the Oscar-winning actress is working on a new film. After that, she’ll probably return to her bang-free hairstyle.

Just as good, the e-zine says, since Twitter, Facebook and the blogosphere were flooded with negative comments about Sandra’s new ‘do, which they deemed too severe for her features and overall unflattering.

“There were literally gasps when Sandra Bullock stepped out of her limo and onto the red carpet at last night’s Golden Globes. If you were like me you thought, ‘What has she done to her hair?!?’” PopEater writes.

“Sandra’s new bangs and darker color didn’t go over much better with folks watching at home, who flooded Twitter and Facebook with OMG’s galore. So-called fashion experts the world over placed her in their various ‘fashion disasters’ columns,” the e-zine writes.

Therefore, some digging was necessary to find out what may have prompted this change. As it turns out, it’s all for the love of art, meaning, for a new film that Sandra’s working on.

“Sources tell me Bullock’s new look is only temporary while she films ‘Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close’ with Tom Hanks. The Eric Roth-scripted adaptation of Jonathan Safran Foer’s best-selling 9/11-related novel,” PopEater reports.

One friend is saying for the same e-zine that, while Sandra knew the look wasn’t her best, she really didn’t care all that much because she had to make the change for the sake of doing a good movie.

“It’s not Sandra’s favorite red carpet look ever but she thought she looked cute. As soon as she finishes filming she will go back to her normal color and cut for sure. Although at the moment she is more interested in making a great film and looking after her son than what people have to say about her hair,” dishes the spy.
